Owner, Hundred Mile Brewing

Sue Rigler is the founder and owner of Hundred Mile Brewing Co., a standout craft brewery based in Tempe, Arizona. Her path into craft beer is rooted in the values of hospitality which she learned growing up in Iowa and powered by a science degree in microbiology from Arizona State University. Sue is proud to be in the 2.5% of solely woman owned businesses in the US.

While Sue isn’t the brewer, she’s the driving force behind the vision, culture, and operations of Hundred Mile Brewing. With her deep respect for quality and community, she’s built a place where everyone feels welcome from locals to visitors and tourists who want to experience the local vibe of Tempe. Under her leadership, Hundred Mile Brewing has quickly become a local favorite.

Sue’s work hasn’t gone unnoticed. In 2023, USA Today named Hundred Mile Brewing one of the Top 10 Best New Craft Breweries in the U.S. In 2024, the Tempe Chamber of Commerce honored the brewery as Small Business of the Year, and in 2025, Sue herself was named Business Woman of the Year in Tempe, Arizona.

Beyond beer, Sue is deeply committed to giving back. Hundred Mile Brewing proudly supports a number of local and regional causes, including HOPE Tempe, the Allisa Serignese Legacy Foundation, the Pat Tillman Foundation, Sun Devil Family Charities, and the ASU Alumni Association reflecting Sue’s belief that a brewery can be a hub for both connection and contribution.

Today, she joins us to share the story behind Hundred Mile Brewing, the lessons she’s learned as a first-time founder, entrepreneur and how she’s building something that’s not just about what’s in the glass.
